Vera Turns One!

Vera celebrated her first birthday with her Grandma Mary, Auntie Katie, Uncle Karl, and cousin Mason. She also helped Mary and Katie celebrate their own birthdays over an eventful birthday weekend, which was well documented with our new camera. Vera has learned some new tricks in her wise old age, which have also been well documented.

Vera's First Christmas!

We spent close to 3 weeks in Iowa for Christmas with ALL the family. Of course, we were sick practically the whole time. But, we managed to have some fun despite the illnesses. Vera seemed to enjoy her first Christmas, but is just now really getting into the new toys she received. Thanks to all!

Not pictured are a few days of fun in Chicago (although still sick) - with Faith, Mark and the boys taking care of us, and some wedding dress shopping with Maria, as well as a fair amount of Anne of Green Gables watching. sigh.
